Bargnani Milestone plus a Win?

With both teams being last in their respective divisions this match-up doesn't really scream must watch to anyone, but with both teams struggling as of late, both will be desperately looking for a win. With the Wizards leading the season series 2-1, the Raptors will be looking to even things up as well as put an end to a two game losing skid. The Wizards on the other hand are looking to end a 5 game skid and get only their 2nd (pretty sad isn't it), road win of the season.

The Basics: Washington 16-50 (1-30 on the road), Toronto 18-49 (6-5 in home games played on Friday's)

When We Last Saw Them: The Raptors rolled into Detroit on Wednesday, looking to take down former Raptor's Tracy McGrady and Charlie V, but ended up suffering a 107-93 loss, and once again T-Mac was the one laughing when the dust had settled. Though the Raptors shot 50% from the field in that game they gave yet another lackluster effort on the defensive end and that was ultimately the reason for that loss.

Key Match-ups: Jose Calderon going up against John Wall. As much as we all would like to see Wall and Calderon have a "who can do the best dougie" contest, that won't be the case tonight as Wall and will prove to be a difficult match-up for Jose if he is unable to keep him in front of him. Though Wall has been hampered by injuries this season and has missed several games, he still possesses the skill to make the defense collapse and draw attention to himself, thus freeing up the perimeter for guys like Nick Young etc. Calderon is known for his not so great defense and if he allows Wall to blow by him, the the Wizards may walk out of this game with their second road win of the season.

Other Things of Note:
  • Amir Johnson(TOR) is listed as probable with that left ankle sprain.
  • Andrea Bargnani is only 2 three's away from reaching the 500 makes milestone and will join Vince Carter and Morris Peterson as the only Raptors to reach 500 makes
  • Leandro Barbosa is averagiong 18.2 points over his last 5 games
  • The Wizards lone road win on the season came against the Cavs on February 13th
