Starting 5 With Josh Lewenberg From TSN 1050

One of the things beyond the obvious of covering games for the Raptors and other media stuff is meeting people at games and getting to know them. Some of those relationships as you have seen have turned into guests for us in The Starting 5. Josh Lewenberg covers the Raptors beat for TSN 1050 and we ran into each other on Draft Night and the subject came up about coming on and being a guest here on the Starting 5. Obviously he accepted the invitation and joins us after a pretty awful day for the Raptors. Nash Watch is over and so are the dreams of Steve Nash wearing a Toronto Uniform. He will wear the purple and gold of L.A Lakers. We get into the whole Nash fallout and if the Raptors were even in this race at all. What it means for the Raptors and you fans now that Steve Nash is not going to be walking into the ACC on July 11th as the nation's hero coming home. Instead the Raptors are left searching for a plan B and some way to deliver on a promise of being an improved team and competing for a play spot in the Eastern Conference. We touch on the improvements in the Atlantic Division and how the Nashless Raptors now have a even tougher time just trying to keep their head above water. We have as good a time as you could hope under the circumstances. But this is a tough time for the Raptors Organization and there is really no way to get around that. So hope you enjoy Josh's debut with a very tired but still kicking me in this episode of the Starting 5.

We look forward to having Josh back as guest and adding him to the mix with all our regular guests that we love and appreciate. Steve Nash or not the DNB and the Starting 5 marches on. Also remember coming in the fall will be having a weekly podcast called This Week In Raptorland hosted by me along with some co-hosts from time to time. Regardless of what the Raptors do or don't do the plan remains the same for TEAM DNB to bring you more next season. So get ready for all of that as we build towards are 5th year of covering the Toronto Raptors for all of you great fans of the Raptors. Your support is always appreciated by myself and our new staff here at the DNB.
